Brian Smikle will take his place in the Kidderminster Harriers squad next season after signing a new one-year contract today.

The pacy winger is staying for his third season at Aggborough after first joining in the summer of 2006 following his departure from West Bromwich Albion.

Smikle, a former Hereford and Halifax loanee, has made a total of 68 appearances during his first two terms - almost half in each.

"I'm ever so glad to be here and have a new deal," the 22 year-old told harriers.co.uk.

"I'm looking forward to getting started on the new season and I'm definitely looking forward to fighting for a starting place more regularly and get more starts in the team."
