Mark Yates has secured the services of another one of his out-of-contract players this afternoon after Matthew Barnes-Homer signed his new contract.

The former Willenhall and Wycombe man was offered new terms at the end of last season after making 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.

The striker's new deal sees him staying at Aggborough until the end of the 2008-09 season.

Harriers.co.uk caught up with him just after he completed the paperwork, and he told us: "The last three months of the season were great for us as a team and great for me personally.

"Hopefully we can have a good pre-season and start off really well.

"I want to work even harder this season, and on the training ground and hopefully get some more goals."
