Harriers Reject Penn Offer
CHAIRMAN Barry Norgrove has confirmed to the official website that the club have rejected an offer from Walsall for midfielder Russell Penn.
England C International Penn has been the subject of plenty of unofficial interest during the summer after ended last season in fine form and established himself in Paul Fairclough's England outfit.
Norgrove revealed that the League One side had lodged an official bid with the club for the former Scunthorpe Youth Team player, but the offer had been rejected.
"We received an offer from Walsall for Russell but it was nowhere close to matching our valuation of the player," the Chairman told harriers.co.uk.
"He's one of our best players and has also performed excellently for the England C team last season, and we didn't think the bid reflected his ability."
Penn is on contract at Aggborough for the 2008/09 season having made 129 appearances since his arrival in 2005.
