A LESS than thrilling game at Aggborough ended 0-0 tonight as ten-man Kidderminster Harriers, who had Jonny Harkness sent off, drew with Aldershot Town.
The game had a bit of an end of season fare to it tonight but with FA Trophy Final places firmly up for grabs and contracts up for renewal in the summer, some may have been left surprised with the showing against an energetic Aldershot side this evening.
Gary Hay (above) and Luke Reynolds were both handed starts with Brian Smikle keeping his place in the team and scooping tonight's Man of the Match award.
It was a game of very little notable action, in the first half there were only really two chances at goal - one for each side when Reynolds stabbed wide after good work from Jake Sedgemore and Town's Mark Molesley wasting a great chance after bursting though with 20 on the clock.
The second half was a similar affair - Aldershot did have the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled out for offside, whilst defender Harkness saw red for two needless bookings after just 65 minutes.
Just two minutes before, Harriers created probably the best chance of the night when good work and low cross from Reynolds found Hay in the centre of the box and in front of the goalkeeper, only for the former Bromsgrove man to blaze over the bar from three or four yards out.
The draw does move Harriers up one place to tenth in the Conference, ahead of Weymouth on goal difference.
Harriers are next in action on Saturday, at Aggborough, when Morecambe roll into town for our last home game of the season.
