After graduation from the Youth Team at Nottingham Forest back in the summer of 2005, Gavin Hurren joined Harriers after a brief trial, but was initially sent out on-loan to local side Bromsgrove prior to his return to Aggborough and subsequent first-team debut at the half-way stage of the 2005/06 season.
Quickly signed up to a contract extension just a couple of months later, Hurren was utilised far more in the first-team during 2006/07, discovering a new home in the centre of midfield during the process. After scoring some hugely important and very impressive goals, the enthusiastic and energetic 'Trigger' was handed a new deal prior to the start of this season.
